Best New Wedding Venues
Looking at dream wedding venues is one of our favourite pastimes, so it’s been fantastic to see the number of beautiful venues opening recently.
From the classic to the modern, there’s a never-ending choice of new and unique venues where you can host your ceremony and reception.
If you’re still looking for your wedding venue here’s some inspiration with our favourites from all over the UK...
North West of England - Holmes Mill, Lancashire
At Holmes Mill you and your guests can enjoy a reception in a former textile mill. It offers all the charm of a period building, making for fantastic pictures. Food and drink is taken seriously here. You’re encouraged to make your wedding match your personality with food choices from formal dining to a pit roast. There’s also an extensive selection of amazing cocktails and craft beers.
With 38 bedrooms on site, plus what is said to be Europe’s longest bar, your guests couldn’t ask for anything more!
North East of England – Friars Well, Alnwick Castle, Northumberland
Beautiful Alnwick Castle is a popular location for brides in the North East, and the opening of Friars Well this year takes the number of venues on the estate to three.
Perfect for intimate and elegant weddings the venue can host between 16 and 60 guests. There’s accommodation and a swimming pool within the house, which overlooks a lake.
South East – Fern & Field, Kent
What could be more romantic than an outdoor ceremony amid ancient bluebell woods? If that sounds up your street you will adore Fern & Field! Set on a working farm there’s a choice of venues for your ceremony including the woods, next to a lake or in a field. Whichever you choose you’ll be guaranteed endless natural picture opportunities.
Scotland – The Shore, Loch Lomond
We’ve cheated a bit with this one, but since it’s set to be one of the most spectacular venues of the year we couldn’t help but include it! The Shore will be set on the banks of Loch Lomond, which will provide the ultimate backdrop for your ceremony. You’ll be able to take beautiful pictures of your big day with up to 300 guests. Opening soon!
Wales – St Tewdrics House, Monmouthshire
Brides looking for a truly breathtaking venue should absolutely consider St Tewdrics House. This romantic, Italian renaissance property opened for weddings this year. It offers a choice of four rooms licensed for weddings as well as the option of outdoor ceremonies. You’ll have the whole property for your special day, including eight en-suite bedrooms for you and your guests.
London – Kensington Palace
We may have accepted that we’ll never marry William or Harry, but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel like a princess on your wedding day – especially if your venue is Kensington Palace! The Royal palace has only just started offering weddings but it’s already in high demand. If you choose it as your venue expect to be the star of plenty of tourist’s holiday snaps as this is one of the capital’s most visited buildings.
Midlands – Tewkesbury Park, Gloucestershire
The brand new events suite at Tewkesbury Park offers glorious views out over the Cotswolds countryside. You can invite up to 200 guests to enjoy the lavish surroundings and opulent decor, plus they can stay over and make use of facilities that include golf, a health club and spa.
